About Chef Jan

Every event is uniqueJan head shot and I promise to treat it as such. I will bring my experience in catering, design and planning events to your event. I want to bring you the best menu and the best tasting food that your budget allows. You and your guests deserve that.
A little about me the chef/ owner: In the last ten years I have worked on over 300+ weddings, family reunions,  company  and private events. I ran a small Bed & Breakfast with a wedding venue. I have worked with other caterers and at the Clarion Hotel- food and beverage department. I have participated in and cooked for fundraisers, volunteered on the board of directors for PlacerGrown and Old Fruitvale School Hall. Prior to that I had my own promotional marketing company and was on the board of directors of Sacramento Valley American Marketing Association and co-coordinated their monthly meetings and events for 8 years. In my marketing company, I worked with wineries in Napa Valley and then it rolled into doing packaging and silk screening for local products- mostly olive oils,  mustards & lavender soaps etc., You might ask, how I went from marketing to catering? Actually I have found my way back to being a "foodie". In college, I studied to be a dietetic technician and found out after doing an internship at a hospital I enjoyed the more creative and festive side of working with food, went into restaurant management and later opened a small cafe called The French Quiche.  I served  country style french. That is when I really started to enjoy cooking.
